  You are cordially invited to join this event to give the day widespread support.
  
 
The objective is to highlight the concern of civil society and to give voice to the outrage at the grave threats to human rights and justice in Pakistan. The focus of public action is to protest against the arbitrary arrests and detentions and call for the restoration of fundamental rights and justice. The purpose of the action is to gain media coverage, to increase public awareness and participation in protest, to press governments to exert pressure on Pakistan and ultimately to mobilise urgent international influence on the Pakistan authorities not to suppress human rights in the name of the “war on terror”.
