[matilda] Acoustic night

Haven't been down to the meetings yet so am worried about stepping on toes. Is
the acoustic night organising person on this list? Not sure what they have in
mind but the callout for good acoustic muscisians put in mind that it would be
a performance type thing, which is cool but...

I had a thought it would be nice to do something different from the usual
performer/audience split of such nights. Such as have a rule that if you turn
up you have to perform, be it music, spoken word or whatever (for the shy,
maybe just say their favourite word and why). Have it more as an acoustic
jam session where everyone and anyone who turns up can do their stuff rather
than people coming to be 'entertained'. It is good to hear talented musicians
but I think it is also important to get everyone involved in making music etc.

So maybe do both...hmmm. There was also talk of an open mic night, and my
thoughts turned to caberet and comedy. Or how about a radical performance
collective? Ahhh, the possibilities:) ttfn,
