Allo

Last night's meeting failed to come to a conclusion on what's best to do
about ensuring our groundrules are respected by all - but I don't think
we failed, or are failing.

What we said we'd do is ask seeds for change to work with us - on one
day - to come up with an agreed way of dealing with this stuff.

I don't think we asked 0742 to do this, and I think he's going off on a
tangent about what the problem is. He feels there's an underlying evil
of some sort festering within MATILDA: that's not a feeling shared by
others, as least if last night's meeting is representative. (Voices
other than 0742 speak up now!)

On 0742's specific points:

"it was suggested last night we simply must realise we are not all going
to get on well forgive me the prime goal of my involvement is to get on
not replicate the world outside of MATILDA"

Yes - that's the prime goal of *your* involvement: you're confusing what
you want with what the overall goals of MATILDA should be. Not everyone
agrees with you.

> this is why myself and armchair hippy will e mail seeds for change
> mediation sheffield some friends we know who run wokshops in alternatives
> to violence how bullying effects people and works we hope to run a whole
> weekend on this in mid jan

It's a good idea: I think Jo Brierley has already offered to do such a
workshop. But we need to be clear about what's what - this isn't
something the meeting agreed should happen for MATILDA, this is an event
that you want to arrange.

I also said last night that I volunteer for Mediation Sheffield - and
that mediation will only work where all parties want to take part. That
isn't the case here.

See ya

Dan
