I don't want to draw out this thread, but I do want to apologise for
my earlier comments.

I hadn't read to the end of the email Joe was forwarding - I stopped
half way down, because it was clearly out of place on the list. If I
had finished reading it, I would not have replied in a way that made
it look as if I was defending its contents.

Sorry, that was really stupid of me.
