I share the caution being expressed on this list re having a 'grand opening'
and it seems it wasn't even agreed by the small number of people with the
stamina to still be in the meeting.
It should definitely be discussed on mondays meeting (which then doesn't
leave much time) as there's a lack of clarity of what we're talking about -
as Gav said we are open already
so then it seems people are talking about inviting in certain people - but
I'm unclear who.
Who are 'suits'? Are they the city planners, the councillors, the property
owners/developers/speculators in the area (including the owners of the
building)?
as Joe asked what is the actual reasoning behind inviting them?
There seems to be a general view that we don't discuss certain stuff on this
public list - like our status in the building - but we need to remember what
their interests are.
And who are 'the other CIQ people who have sympathy'.  It seems to me they
will probably come to an art opening night anyway.
