Kathleen> To think I actually considered giving you my time and attention!!!

Your thinking reveals an us and you division. Why do you feel so
alienated? To me it seems like you are thinking of yourself as a
consumer and have expectations of us, the providers.

It doesn't work like that.

Kathleen> What are you lot aiming for? why are you playing
Kathleen> stupid games of housy? Clowns you are and clowns you deserve
Kathleen> to be.
Kathleen> You can take me off the mailing list if that's
Kathleen> all you have to offer, that's if you aren't too busy with
Kathleen> your derby and jones, getting off your heads and shagging
Kathleen> each other because that's what it sounds like to me.

I don't know what 'derby and jones' is. I don't see a problem with
shagging or getting off one's head. Both are fairly standard practice
for most of the population these days. Being political does not
necessite becoming a monk, though if you are monk you shouldn't feel
excluded.

If you want to leave the email list you can unsubscribe yourself.
Maybe that's what you don't understand. Matilda is about DIY culture.
Do it yourself. If you have a problem with what's going on there then
you have as much right and power to organise events and steer things
the way you want as anyone else.

Have you even thought about how you would like to the space used? If
so then why not suggest something at a meeting or chat at the social
and see if there are others who are willing to join you.

I don't understand your cynical attitude at all. I see Matilda as a
very positive thing. It's brought a lot of people together on a
regular basis, has raised money for campaigns, and got people doing
very positive stuff - like the new kitchen, the no borders group, the
hack lab, film shows, and yes the parties. What's wrong with parties
when people aren't being exploited or using them to make profits for
themselves?

Matilda is creating a community in a variety of ways and that is a
very positive thing.
