Perhaps there is a narrow perception to what direct
action is. Dan partly answered the question himself in
regards to the letter writing campaign against the
arms fair in London. To me that was direct action.
Surely the fact that we are in this space alone is an
act of direct action? I dont think DA should be so
narrowly defined as it has been by people on this
list.
To me the PGA hallmarks are fairly open ended - while
others seem to see them as constrictive. The regularly
used quote by PGA/ anti-globalisation activists, 'one
no, many yes' ' seems apt without descending into
constrictive cages of ideological thought.
People have uttered 'anarchist' as some curse but I
havent particularly heard 'other' people advocating
this as an anarchist space. This space features people
from a vast array of political thoughts and each
person has the potential to block any consesus within
the processes of the meeting tonight that they may
feel is contradictory to thier perception of the
space..... Here's to blocking. Here's to consensus.
