Was there a meeting? Was it cancelled?

One reason why there's only a few people, then, might be that those of
you who are valiantly doing stuff don't let anyone else know what's
happening. It hasn't really been made clear what Monday meetings are /
who they're supposed to be for.

Having gone to one Monday meeting, it was certainly nothing like what
I'd been told they now were - collective spokespeople speaking. It was
a normal Monday meeting, with plenty of new people making proposals - as
they'd always been. So where are the dates?

No-one discusses anything here on-list - for a reason I've yet to
fathom. I mean, there's dysfunctional lists where people spend all
their time trolling or wibbling about bugger all, but this is the other
extreme. (The notable exeptions being Nick, who continues to do
brilliant Events e-mails, and a great write-up from Kathleen...)

For those of us, like me, still not part of any collective, but who
might sometimes like to get involved (e.g. I wouldn't mind putting on
another film n curry night again at some point soon) it all seems very
distant, silent and closed.

Of course, how things seem from the outside is usually wrong. So, after
this little rant, a constructive e-mail coming...
