Welcome to the first issue of the Sheffield Peace Diary, covering regular
meetings; single events June - September 2006; further dates after September
2006; and other peace organisations around Sheffield whose events we haven't
managed to list this time.

This pilot issue is fairly rough and ready. Hopefully, however, this diary
will come to serve as a central info-dump of first resort, for peace-related
events in (or accessible from) Sheffield and district. With this in view,
we're aiming for a second issue, covering September-December 2006. This
would make the diary a quarterly. We may go (bi-)monthly if it's more
practical.

We welcome comments, suggestions, and offers of help. Especially, please
send extra info, and notify of any errors, amendments, additions and
omissions. And please check details with named contacts before attending
events (contacts will be under regular events if not in the main listing).

Copy for issue 2: ASAP please, not after Monday 14th August 2006.

Best wishes
Simon Heywood (Sheffield Quaker Peace Group)
Steve Marshall (Sheffield Campaign Against the Arms Trade)
