I simply assumed Derek was merely being formal, as i was, and referring to the temple by its 'official name'. Obviously our reclaimation re-inaugarated it as a Dionysian Temple.Take your point on the solar element with regard to Dionysus. 
I am not averse to working with solar energies per se however, for the sun does not of itself imply male solar energies. The Goddess has her solar aspects also, for example i have come across references to the goddess as 'The Flaming Sun'.
