i got to st georges last night about 10.30pm and the church was surrounded with high metal fencing with around 10 intimidating bouncer types lurking outside the blocked off entrance and the sides of the building.
 
they are still going to court to fight for the right to stay temporarily (on legal technicalities) and to fight this illegal eviction...but Tanya, who is quite involved in the squat, says there is a general feeling that they have pushed the legal process as far as it will go...in other words, tragically, its probably the end of the st georges era...
