Hi all,
all sounds amazing, thansk anaelle. a circle tent would be fab!
one piece of eqipment thats really versatile and kids absolutely adore is
a rainbow parachute to play group games with- i'd say its an essential
piece of kit!! not sure how we are working with the equipment list? shall
i email someone with some ideas, jon maybe?
i reckon for the zine making- it would be good to have a dedicated area of
the tent for zine stuff permanently- ie: a table, scissors glue, paper n
pieces for it etc, so kids can do it whenever they want. but also in
additrion to this, maybe one or two dedicated slots for group zine making
stuff/schedlued zine-time.
my second elder session (bead necklaces) will only go ahead if i manage to
get enough elder into camp/if theres some growing on site, and have time
to prepare it using hacksaw. but will try to have a backup activity to do
in case of this, or just do painted pasta/etc necklaces if neccessary. or
if anyone wants to do their own workshop in this timeslot then go ahead,
we will see when we're there.
xx
> A few good news & info:
> - looks like we're going to get a 35ft round tent (marquee man has booked
> it for us but hasn't yet seen it, so this is on the provision that it is
> in good nick, otherwise we'll have the square marquee)
> - central kitchen are happy to provide us with the ingredients for our
> baking/bread-making workshops - out of the central food budget.
> - a few other workshops have been confirmed, singing, dancing &
> consensus-decision making. Still awaiting a reply from a couple of others.
> Also looks like we might just have nice bedtime accoustic music/singing
> sessions every evening 8-9pm. Still in need of storytellers though... but
> it can all be improvised on the spot by anyone who wants.
> - bicycology will most prob be running a bike-maintenance for kids
> workshop in the kidspace & will definitely be bringing kids bikes.
