Loads of games and activities for kids, lectures, demonstrations (on the water and off) and exhibits, raffles, political party canoe races, fire dept exhibition, animals, music, food, Giant Ice Cream Sundae Build, Great Goose Drop raffle and more!

2:30-3:15pm - Fun Zone (swing/standards)
4:00-4:45pm - Ithaca Concert Band (symphonic band)
5:15-6pm - My Brother's Band (pop/rock covers)
6:30-7:15pm - Alice Dedrick (country & western)
7:45-8:30pm - Pete Panek (Chicago blues)
8:45-9:15pm - Fall Creek Brass Band (funk, riot jazz, reggae)
PROGRAM TENT
2-2:30 Tom Reimers of Cayuga Trails Club: "Snakes, Salamanders, and Other 'Herps' of Dryden”. Talk for children.
2:30-3 Don Funke, Freeville NY, talk on project of Ithaca Heritage Foundation, "Tommy Comes Home" the restoration of an Ithaca built plane, current happening in the Dryden Lake area by volunteers.
3-3:30 Chris Xaver, TC3 Professor and her telly film crew's project, "Sweet Life with Chris Xaver,”
Also cooking demo with Chris.
3:30-4 Martin Sweeney's talk. Review of his new book, “Lincoln's Gifts from Homer, NY: a Painter, an Editor, and a Detective.” This correlates with our new Lincoln Center addition at the Southworth Library.
4-5pm Chuck D’Imperio, Oneonta NY, talk about his three books, “Upstate New York Stories with Big Chuck.” Just out is his “Monumental New York, a Guide to 30 Iconic Memorials in Upstate NY”.
Other books: “Great Graves of Upstate NY”, and “Upstate NY, History Happened Here”.
5:20-5:30 Suzanne Cardwell, Dryden NY, “Ad-Lib”, our very own amazing sound effects entertainer.
5:30-6 Diane Panel, Southworth Library, reading “Silly Goose Stories”, storytime for children.
6-6:30pm Frank Palmer, “Personal Safety” , Public Education and Outreach for the Neptune Hose Co No 1, Dryden’s Fire Department.
EXHIBITION TENT
1-5pm Heather Marshall of Hedgie House Rescue, Freeville NY, showing and info about hedgehogs. Member of the Hedgehog Welfare Society.
1-5pm Lime Hollow Nature Center, Cortland NY. Jason and Peter, showing and info about falcons and red-tailed hawks.
1:30-4pm Cortland Repertory Theatre, Cortland NY, “Children’s Theatre Games Workshop” with costumes and scripts for mini acting experiences for any child.
Dryden Community Gardens: First Annual Vegetarian Cooking Contest accepting entrees up to 1:30pm. Judging best dish at 2pm. Prizes awarded. Recipes collected for pamphlet cookbook.
Dryden Town Historical Society: Muriel Litel with exhibit on local history, books, etc for sale.
Town of Dryden Recreation Dept: Fall sports programs for children and scheduled events.
Cornell Coop Ext of TC: Yash Gharat of Energy Corps: Exhibit and information, “Energy Efficiency in the Home”.
Cornell Coop Ext of TC: Monika Roth with exhibit and information, “Farming in Dryden” and “Local Foods, Gardening, and Canning”.
Also displaying: Southworth Library, Town of Dryden, other local organizations.
SMALL TENT, located near Jim Schug Trail
2-5pm “Tree Search for Dryden Lake Foresters”, Elizabeth Gutchess of Gutchess Lumber Company, Cortland NY. Participants will get info to help them find understory trees on the Jim Schug Trail and win badges, trail snacks, and other good stuff to eat. Cornell natural history prof Charles Smith will help Tree Search participants and/or lead tours along the Trail.
