> This position is 30-35 hours per week, and consists of fleet management duties Monday - Wednesday (8 am – 4 pm) paired with after hours on-call duties 2-3 weeknights (5 pm – 9 am) per week plus every other weekend (Friday 5 pm – Monday 9 am). In both roles, proficiency using computers and a smart phone is required. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are necessary. Familiarity with the Ithaca area and basic vehicle troubleshooting (jumping batteries, changing tires) skills are also strongly preferred.

> Fleet Management duties:
> You’ll be taking care of Ithaca Carshare’s fleet (24 vehicles and growing), making sure the vehicles are clean and well maintained. You’ll have a great crew of member volunteers to help you achieve this goal. In this on-the-go position, time and task management skills are essential for efficiency. Good judgment, DIY fix-it and strong communication skills are also key. You may be involved with handling damage and claims, vehicle sales and purchasing, parking spaces, and fleet data analysis. This is a physical job: ability to shovel heavy snow and comfort getting around town by bike, bus, or foot in all weather are necessary.

> Member Services duties:
> You’ll be answering phones, processing applications, handling reservations and minor vehicle issues, fielding questions about Ithaca Carshare’s service, and other job activities as necessary. Ability to communicate confidently with our members and problem solve quickly is essential.

> Most on-call work can be performed from home within cell service range (a smartphone for work duties is provided). Occasional trips to vehicles are necessary to handle urgent issues, so an ability to reach our downtown/East Hill core vehicle areas within 20 minutes is required. (Walking, biking or use of the Ithaca Carshare fleet to reach vehicles is fine; in line with our organizational mission, car ownership is not required.) A few hours of follow-up office work during weekdays may also be required.

> Training will occur during weekdays at our office in the DeWitt Mall downtown. Starting pay is $12.78 per hour, and benefits include health insurance, an Ithaca Carshare membership, and a TCAT bus pass. Pay for overnight and weekend shifts includes a stipend for on-call availability ($12 for a weeknight, $40 for a weekend) in addition to the regular hourly rate for actual hours worked.
