When you are in a conversation, are you waiting for the other person to stop talking so you can say what you want to say?
What if we could update human listening and communication abilities such that we could turn off the self-focused thinking and truly see and feel what others are experiencing?
What if everyone on the planet had that capacity?

"The Vistening workshop was outstanding. We think it could play an essential role in changing the person-to-person dynamics within any group for the better. Those changes can help the functioning of the larger group — yes, applicable pretty much everywhere where 2 or more people come together. Given the political situation, we feel deep listening is a necessary step toward resolving differences and reducing separation." Pat Evans and Mark Piechota
(I have started calling this skill Vistening for -- "visual listening" and to distinguish it from typical listening).
