Sukula Family Campaign
Emergency Demonstration in Bolton
Bolton Town Hall
Saturday 10^th February
1pm
Stop the Sukula families forced relocation to Liverpool
The Sukula family are being sent against their will to Liverpool, and
have been told they have to leave their house by Wednesday 14^th at
10.00.
The Sukulas’ have lived in Bolton for six years, after fleeing the civil
war in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
They have established strong links with the local community, many people
will have followed their courageous campaign, first against deportation
and then against the possible separation of their family and denial of
their right either to receive benefits or work under New Labour’s
notorious Section 9. Their petition has been signed by hundreds of local
residents and they have appeared at many local and national events.
Now they face a new threat. NASS have instructed them they have to leave
the Bolton to move to Liverpool, a fine city with its own organisations
in support of asylum seekers, but entirely against their will and
against the background of a serious medical emergency currently facing
the family.
Ngeidi Sukula the mother of the family has recently 3 months ago, given
birth to a baby “Miracle”. Miracle was born 3 months premature and is
still in hospital requiring daily visits.
In addition there are four other children who attend local Bolton
nurseries, schools and college.
Yet none of these common considerations of humanity matter to NASS. We
demand they immediately drop this disgraceful plan and allow the
Sukulas’ to live in the community which is now their home.
Support the demo on Saturday!
Against all forced relocations!
Against all deportations!
