4) radio program for refugee week: the new Holocaust

Murdering Children - The New Holocaust -A Two Hour Radio Special
for Refugee Week 2007

BCB 106.6 FM is in the process of producing this programme to go out sometime
during ‘Refugee Week’ in June. The subject of the programme (a one-off) is
children of conflict. It will be a documentary/reflection focusing on the child
casualties of war. The content will be the result of individual/group
contributions – readings (prose/poetry), music, song, short drama, audio
witness, recorded discussion, etc. in fact anything that raises awareness of
the obscenity that is the wholesale slaughter of children, now a normative
dimension of armed conflict around the world. The flight of families from
theatres of war has occasioned the growth of refugees in Africa and the Middle
East where millions are now displaced and without status - many of these are
children.

We invite relevant contributions to this programme from individuals/groups e.g.
readings (poetry/prose), music, song, story, drama, dialogue, discussion, etc.
they should be no more than 5-10 minutes in length on CD or mini-disc. If
required, recording facilities are available by reservation at BCB’s Studios,
11 Rawson Road, Bradford BD1 3SH. If you or your group would like to take part
in this programme, please contact Joe Sheeran on 01274 771677 or 07841647380 or
e-mail: joe.sheeran at bcbradio.co.uk

You might know people who would be interested in this, if so, please circulate!!
