At the excellent meeting on Saturday John Andrews and I proposed the bullet points (below) to be added to the statement of values. We also plan to return to the debate at our next meeting. All comments welcome.

The SSC believes free education is a right for all
All engaged in the educational process are considered equal in the search for understanding, happiness and knowledge to promote peace, direct democracy and justice
Education should encourage social, economic, political awareness for engaged citizenship and individual empowerment
