[SSC] Values

I think this is fine up to the point about challenging the notion that
'education is something to be learned'. Surely, learning is precisely
what we are about, and with both students and teachers acting as
scholars, both learning from one another and teaching one another?

Dear Richard + John,

I think the issue is not so much believe as what we do, so how abour:

SSC is a radical alternative to higher education. It is grounded in the
history of progressive education movements, including WEA, Co-ops... etc
in the UK and around the world, and the principles on which those
movements were based: free education, democracy, peace, equality,
happiness and social justice. As part of its project, the SSC will
support the creation of new progressive concepts and practices that
challenge the notion that education is something to be learned with the
idea that knowledge is something to be produced, by teachers and
students working in collaboration.
