[Ssf] Sheffield 100 Forum , what is??????

Just got sent this email. Never heard of the 100 forum, does anyone know anything about it? Does anyone go, is it worth going??

The Sheffield 100 Forum is a citizens panel of Sheffield people.  The Forum is a way for the people of Sheffield to express their opinions about the services provided by the Development, Environment & Leisure Directorate of the city council.

The Directorate provides everyday services, which include: roads and footpaths, planning and regeneration, parks, libraries, leisure and cultural facilities and services that protect the environment.


We are now in the process of recruiting new members to the Forum to ensure that it continues to be representative of the diverse population of the city.

The Forum meets for approximately three hours on one weekday evening several times per year, where members talk about issues that affect the city.  Refreshments are provided and travel expenses paid.

The views and comments of Forum members help us to be more responsive to the needs of local people.
