[ssf] Website and WEA training...

Hi,

1. Taking this over to the tech list now. Anyone who wants to subscribe -

http://lists.aktivix.org/mailman/listinfo/ssf-tech

You'd be welcome.

2. I'm about to take a very deep dive in the deep-end of web-design:
I've somehow got myself into teaching it to groups who want to make a
site for international links and local 'citizenship', as well as
designing a site for ALAC South Yorkshire. Nothing like abject terror
of failure to motivate one into learning!

So - I'm going to be paid to do this, and whilst at the mo we're going
to look for BME, refugee and minority groups, there's scope for others
to join in too. (I'm also in the process of investigating open source
routes into all of this...)

If people could let me know if they're interested, then perhaps we could
have a little SSF project of some sort. Wouldn't need to be the SSF
site - could be various things. (p.s. Mozaz - I'd prefer to have a go
at this by myself, if that's OK! It'll make me learn faster!)

It's looking like it'll be over 10 weeks, three hours a week, Tuesdays
5-8. I'm expecting it to be based around one or more goals to be
achieved by the end, e.g. 'a website with bulletin board'.

Let me know - then I can tell WEA about the interest and maybe sort a
session out.

The true meaning of life is to plant trees,
under whose shade you do not expect to sit.
