Hi all on SSF,
As you all probably know, the next crucial stage of the Identity Card Bills (freakishly hurried) passage through the diahreticly affected bowls of Parliament is set to take place tomorrow afternoon.
I asked a few questions about a week or so ago regarding the anti ID meeting that was proposed to take place on the same day, and also if the date could be changed in order to make an SSF trip to lobby MPs, but alas there was no reply.
Is the meeting still taking place tomorrow? If so, who is going? If not, when will it be going ahead?
If anybody does want to go and try to kick their MP into touch about the ID bill, or anything at all, tomorrow really is the day to do it, so if there is any possibility whatsoever of you going, go for it.
I can possibly give a lift down to a couple of people, but only one way because i have other business in the south later on - you would have to get a coach back, which will cost £8 or there abouts.
I will also be leafleting in the vacinity of Parliament, so if you fancy a few hours of handing strangers bits of paper and maybe getting heckled by people who don't know anything about the Bill except what the heard on the ITV lunchtime news, feel free to join in.
I doubt anybody can come anyway, since my last message would have had a response, but i thought i should post this up regardless....
Regards
james (sheffield)
