Free Media Awareness Training for Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector
Organisations with BBC Radio Sheffield and CSV
Do you want to learn how the media works and how to develop a more
positive and successful approach for your group or organisation?

Thursday 13th July 4.30pm - 7.00pm
Thursday 21st September 4.30pm -7.00pm
Thursday 16th November 4.30pm-7.00pm

The CSV Action Desk at BBC Radio Sheffield is offering free media
awareness training for Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector
organisations in South Yorkshire & the North Midlands.

The course offers how to deal with the print & broadcast media and
write effective press releases, media interview techniques & tips, how
the the media works and some useful audio case studies from successful
community groups.

There's also the chance to find out about the latest digital
technology developments and how you can get involved in helping to
shape some of our programmes.

As part of this course there's also an optional visit around the BBC
Radio Sheffield Studios, Bus & Open Centre  (Radio, TV & Online) at
the end of the session, to see how we work and how you can work more
effectively with us.

CSV Media is part of Britain's biggest volunteering charity and is in
partnership with the BBC to provide Social Action expertise.

Our role is to strengthen the role of the voluntary sector in dealing
with the media to get your story on air and in print. CSV employs
social action producers at 37 BBC Local Radio Stations across the UK
to help promote volunteering, lifelong learning and community action.
