Hey all!
This is a very rough program of three days of festival. Please make your
comments and suggestions! Without your reaction everything will be much
worse;)

DAY #1
Where: open air, perhaps in Sereikishku parkas.
What:
•	Free market (if you don’t know what’s this, look
here…http://zinefest.noblogs.org/post/2008/09/05/reallyreallyfreemarket –
in Russian only, sorry.. or search the internet)).
•	Temporary Zine library
•	Distro glade
(you are very welcome to bring your stuff there – for exchange, gift,
sell, share *at least for some hours – in case of library).

Also zinesters from Moscow suggested a soap-making workshop, I think that
could be cool but we need to think how to provide conditions for it);
-	an auction of rare zines (where you could pay by caramels, in example.
Or, if by money, all money will go to good initiatives). – not sure about
that, what do u think?
-	a presentation about an independent bookstore;
-	a presentation about anarcha-primitivizm.
-	a workshop on making-up (creating good-looking layouts for zines on
computers). I think that could be developed into a discussion about
“professionalism” in zine-making /diy ethics…? Although it sounds a bit
strange after the previous topic;)

A zinester from Molodechno suggested to discuss whether we need zines at
all, and if yes, what for? But as he noticed, that shouldn’t be done in a
“form of boring discussion”, but rather by some performances;) As for me,
I’m also against boring discussions, but how to put things to discuss in a
form of performances? Need to specify..;)

Also one important thing is do we need self-presentations? (of zines,
initiative etc..) . I think that yes, but how to organize them better? I
still don’t know.

Another suggestion is making exhibitions (dedicated to the history of
zine-making in your district, or zine-making in general etc) – are there
any volunteers? And maybe somebody knows any movies somehow connected to
zine-making? We could make an open-air movie screenings when it gets
darker (probably in some other place – in the yard of one good house, 5
min from sereikishku parkas).

And, of course, some good music (maybe even live) and tasty food. In the
evening at “xi.20” there’s a concert of a German hardcore band “Farmer’s
Boulevard”.

DAY #2
Where: TBA
What: Maps Day.
-	Introduction to the conter-cartography (aka radical, critical). What’s
this, why it’s cool and how it’s connected to DIY/anarchism/punk-rock and
all that shit;)
-	An exhibition of some cartographic projects.
-	A workshop by pablo perez and maria garcia from aulabierta (aulabierta
it's an autonomous and independent asociation developing autoeducation
that inserts its proposals , in a symbiotic way, inside the social,
educational and art system. In aulagarden, one of the branches of
aulabierta they are developing very interesting activities and workshops:

-	Collective creating of a map of autonomous forces of Europe (before that
all data should be collected at interactive map using MapoMatix software.
The link and further details will be given in a few days. If u have ideas
for map, don’t be shy to share them)). At this workshop we’ll decide on
what and where to put, how to show connections etc and make a paper
version).
-	A discussion on how we could explore/study/map the borders of Belarus.
Lithuania and Poland (an eastern border of EU) and migration processes in
Eastern Europe.

We still lack of music for this day!!

DAY #3

Where: different venues
What: Day of Workshops

The idea is liberation zines from our shelves, distros and infoshops by
putting them into (public) space. The participants are offered to divide
in some groups and work on their projects during the day. And in the
evening the results will be available to everyone. So far there are
following ideas for workshops:
а. enlarging and preparing zines to the size of wall newspaper. like
street art but with more text. could put them everywhere we'd like
б. creating "secrets". take printed paper, add some other elements u'd
like, put a glass on it and sprinkle with some soil. put some signs near
it so that passer-by could take an interest, stop and dig out a zine.
в. we could project an image on some wall in the city during the night,
using stencils and the shadows from them.
г. u don't need neither paper nor projector for this zine. just use ur
body! the results (=paintings) could be demonstrated at the concert in the
evening (but not only there))
д. creating a zine room so that the context could be read in different
directions.
And we need some music (or something)) for this day too! And a disco till
the morning, yeah….

)

cheers and hot greetings,
sasha
