Monash Community (/permaculture) Garden Conceived as a permaculture garden, this student/community plot is a space to learn by doing, chatting, succeeding, making mistakes, trying not to make them again, growing veg, natives and complementary plants, and experimenting with organising all that goes into growing, maintaining and socially enlivening a garden... a place to meet, eat, sit, weed, water, read, chat, relax, plant, harvest, meditate, party, create art, grow ideas as well as plants, build things, marvel at the mushrooms which always pop up from under the tanbark after rain... It's located just off the West Wing of the Campus Centre at Monash University (Clayton). Currently we trundle down to get our hands dirty and talk shop (gardens/veg/environment/rubbish...) on Thursdays from 2pm and people head down whenever they feel like being a bit more grounded or helping the veggies grow. It's a space for everyone, so come and enjoy, learn, skill-share, read what's in the purple folder, leave us a note, and become part of the community garden community!
