I don't agree that it was taken out of context, at all.

I didn't want to forward the whole email it was taken from
because, as you say it was a private email.

However I don't think it's good that political decisions
of this nature are taken in private and then kept secret.

Perhaps the author of the email might agree to forward it
themselves so that people can make their own mind up if I
took that quote out of context?
