Hey

Indymedia is an open publishing news service so of course you are free to post your article either in part or in full there. We operate a different model to the mainstream media in that you have direct democratic control over what gets published and when, and of course it can then be syndicated to a global audience.

Engaging with the corporate press is never going to be worthwhile, as has been seen. For all the courtship and schmoozing of last year, through which a few nice articles were written, we are now seeing the other hand of power of the mainstream media where a campaign can just as easily be destroyed as it suits the editors.

This is exactly why indymedia exists, and I hope that in future some hard questions will be asked of the media strategy of climate camp, and that indymedia will again take a leading role as we have done for every camp since the very first at drax, where we were pretty much the only media outlet to give the camp a voice.

I'm going to try to shoehorn some time from somewhere to get to a gathering next time ones in the north where hopefully we can chat about this kind of thing.

Good work on the riposte.

Jimdog
