hi

i'm happy to act as one of the (four?) chairs... involves making sure
everyone sticks like a dog to the timetable, and that things get
started on time, and that the 'right' people are talking at the
'right' time - in turn... right?

re: opening address - i like this format - first bristol dissenter,
then usma (perhaps get a draft / outline of her speech in advance - to
make sure the tone is set appropriately for the day), then another
bristol dissenter to explain the format for the day. ask at general
meet on tues for "someone that will be able to convey the mood of the
day effectively that knows dissent and its aims intimately and
passionately" to do the first and third parts of keynote?

how about the opening person to involve everyone immediately by
showing hands to see from how far people have come for the day
(bristol / greater bristol / avon&somerset / SW / further)? sets tone
for participation aot polemics/lectures. comments?

format for closing session - need strong experienced chair(s) -
possibly just 1M + 1F - i'm not happy / qualified to do this. how is
this going to run? need to be careful to avoid random juxtaposed
polemics from floor whilst still getting maximum participation, the
importance of which i think we all understand fully. ideas / comments?

AG - i agree with idea for format for no borders workshop - will be
talking to geoff. how about title written as 'no borders = no asylum
seekers' and when spoken, said as 'no borders means no asylum
seekers'.

next meeting on 28th would be a monday. ok by me. tuesday also ok.
