Hey

My thoughts on xen were to physically separate the two nics in the server
so one can be dedicated to only the ltsp suite, and having the ability to
install a wider range of OS's to best suit each task without being limited
to a single kernel. Also, you can install vserver under xen and have the
best of both worlds ;)

Even if this is just a planning session it would be great as it would
point me in the right direction for how to do it. Having all the great
geek minds of the UK activist scene in one place, and people with loads of
experience setting up each of these services (like d*i, mike=icecast,
bristol wireless=ltsp, yoss=hyperactive, john=asterisk, alan, gdm=xen,
dns, Protag=coffee). A planning session would be great as I aim to get
this set up to throw into the resource pool for next years hellraising
season so would be really helpful in terms of getting it together. I could
then maybe attach it to the internet for post-lab configuration?

I liked the ad-hoc nature of last year too. We need to get some proposals
in for workshops in the next few weeks and i'll start getting a mailout
together to send round the tech circuit.

Yoss, what's the possibility of adapting the barncamp sign up page, is it
fairly simple ie doable? Can we incorporate a 1in12 membership form with
the signup so I can get them through a members meeting before the event?
How much do people want to pay for food and entertainment for a weekend so
I can start planning what to put on. The Saturday will probably be a band
on the gig floor, should I incorporate entrance to that in so we can get a
good one?
