[HacktionLab] Silkroad for seeds? RE EU heritage seed ban

Hi all

I guess you know about the EU plans to ban the sale and exchange of  
heritage seeds?

I have put some info & call to action on this site:

I have been speaking to a friend about it and he is quite keen to come  
up with a technical response to it.

As far as I understand it the idea he has is to create a non-profit  
trading platform, on www.illegalheritageseed.eu or similar using  
cryptography and bitcoin to provide a platform where small companies  
or individuals can trade or exchange seeds anonymously.

He is thinking of buying both the domain and hosting using bitcoin. He  
is also thinking that the initial development of the site could be  
coordinated on crabgrass.

He mentioned a Wordpress shopping cart that can accept bitcoins?

But does anyone know of any open source 'ebay' like software? Or have  
any knowledge of the platform used on the Silkroad?

I said I would post here on his behalf to see if there was any  
interest in supporting him.
