Hey - thanks for writing this: I really thought that this piece of news
should be featured more prominently - and now it will be.

Only slight small suggestion is to add (perhaps?) some 'background:' who
was CG, why and where did he die:
- a link to original UK-IMC reporting on CG murder (eyewitness reports
etc), but I can't find it!! Maybe I am just looking in the wrong
places...
- another alternative suggestion is to link to some other groups
reports: for example the wombles at
http://www.wombles.org.uk/news/news01_08_6_1949.php where there is an
eyewitness report of the death, or
http://www.wombles.org.uk/news/news01_07_27_5351.php and
http://www.wombles.org.uk/news/news01_07_27_5526.php where there is an
account of the whole event - although this is maybe less relevant.
- maybe you can find different sources....

Another point of interest is that I am sure i read somewhere that CGs
father had said that he had wanted the trial to proceed in order to find
out the truth, although he did not want any particularly different
outcome for the police officer involved - he is already punished enough
with the guilt of a murder on his hands, does he really need more
punishment? But I cannot remember where I read this, so don't want to
commit it to writing any further than this without the background
statement. Can anyone help?

anyway, hope this was useful in some way, love and rage
