[matilda] Events on the web

Is this proposal aimed at promoting use of the wiki or at promoting events?
There is already an announcement list, on the Webpage, so if you're 
interested in events you just subscribe, without the need of other 
persons constantly inputting or updating...
It's already quite difficult to get things moving, imho this proposal 
would only make events more difficult to happen and slow down the whole 
process even more...
