An unfortunate situation it seems. For a party we've agreed that we
need a  minimum of 14 Matilda people for it to go ahead. It should
also be agreed first by the Monday meeting.

We could waive the latter and see if there are 14 Matildarites willing
to volunteer time - I somehow doubt it though. If not then keep it as
a gig. Those putting on the party should be told _immediately_ of the
situation. They could cut their entry price/donation to compensate for
an earlier finish.

There's obviously some mis-communication somewhere along the line. I
think it would be good if the gig collective agreed clear finish times
for all events in the future so this kind of thing doesn't happen
again.
