  No Sweat needs you!
   
  February 12th to 18th 2007 is No Sweat Week Of Action and we would like YOU to help us make a stand against Sweatshop labour and worker exploitation!
   
  How can you help?
   
  You can invite a No Sweat speaker to come to your university!
   
  We have speakers from various world-wide struggles, hopefully including someone from the Oaxaca struggle in Mexico and are looking for venues in universities around the UK. To book a speaker please call me on 07969597251 or reply to this email.
   
  You can hold a fundraiser!
   
  Do you know any Bands or DJs? Why not hold a "Rock Against Sweatshops" type event in your union or a local venue? You can sell tickets and we even have merchandise you can sell! If you'd like to organise a fundraiser then please let us know, we can help you if you need it! Why not ask your SU to run a benefit evening in your union, and turn over the profits to the anti-sweatshop movement?
   
  You can have a film showing!
   
  We have several films related to the anti-sweatshop movement and workers struggles, including our own "A Case For Solidarity" that we can send you if you wish to host a screening as part of your week of action! 
   
  You can initiate a direct action!
   
  This year's week of action is based on the following themes:
    
   International solidarity with sweatshop workers and their unions;   
   Ethical merchandising on campus;   
   Living wage campaigning on campus to end the scandal of low pay among cleaners, security, catering and other campus workers.
  During the week we will also be targeting a number of firms with lousy records of sweatshop employment, including Apple, who make iPods in Chinese sweatshops, Asda/WalMart, Top Shop and Tesco. We may well also be running actions against JJB Sports in response to their dispute with workers union GMB in Wigan and the sacking of union activist Chris Reilly.
  Why not initiate a direct action or picket of these corporations in your town/city? We can help you by sending you flyers and information and advising you on the best ways to organise!
