Hia,

Sorry - I really didn't want to give the impression that there's any
wrong or right here (OK, excepting perhaps 'let's go out and beat old
people with sticks to raise money!) There's an important point in here
on SSF procedure and philosophy, so I'm going to go on about it a bit!

I said -

"I don't want to be a pooper, but what does anyone else think about
this? (See below - went out to all uk social forums.)

"Not sure who sent it - but I don't know why we would be inviting people
from outside of Sheffield to this particular meeting...?

"If we're going to invite people from out of town, shouldn't we arrange
something for them to come to? I thought this meeting was supposed to
be an SSF planning meeting? Why would they want to come to that?

"Am I being anally retentive? Please tell me to f**k off if so!"

Note that last bit - I was just questioning; if it came across as
stroppy, or that I was accusing you of 'doing the wrong thing', I'm
truly sorry.

As far as SSF stuff goes, there is *no* right or wrong - there's just
ways of doing things, and us lot discussing and arguing. No-one can
actually stop anyone doing anything - but we can try and convince each
other of something.

We all have to muddle through, and work out what we're doing
collectively - and this has to include being able to question each other
frankly, but with respect. I hoped I'd done that. If not, Amp, I
sincerely apologise. Please don't stop doing what you do because of
anally retentive me!

As Amp says, it's another reason why e-mails are a blunt tool. The
amount of times people have been hurt and offended unnecessarily is
quite phenomenal. (I seem to have a particular knack for choosing just
the wrong words!)

So let's see what happens on Thursday!

love

Dan

The true meaning of life is to plant trees,
