[imc-uk-emergency] 'other regions'

One more addition (not for or against other regions) -

in this discussion we completely forgot that the uk mid column features as
they are now are not by default restricted to the places who have indymedia
collectives, and stuff from other regions has shown up from time to time.
Maybe it's just the nature of the process - if there is an imc group in an
area, they tend to have the courage (??) to propose a feature about their
local actions on the features list - and then the actions don't disappear
in the newswire. Scotland is a good example for doing that.
But of course, everybody in a no-imc region can post their reports to the
newswire, collect the links, ideally write them up as a short feature, send
all that to the features list and get their feature published in the middle
column.

It's just that people who are not "insiders" don't tend to do that.
Probably same with publishing. I guess that's why it's so important to have
local groups - just to spread the open publishing idea, confidence and a
sense of "imc ownership".

I personally like the idea of "other regions" and hope that we'll find
people to maintain it.

best,
Ionnek
